Hyphae Design Laboratory together with The North of Market/Tenderloin Community Benefit District (NOMTL-CBD) has embarked on a campaign to improve access to public bathrooms. The ecological toilet was designed with features such as composting, graywater reuse for the passive irrigation of planted trellis screens, urine nutrient cycling for plant health, and solar panels for lighting and power.
