For this project, Hyphae applied green infrastructure to an institutional scale systems. The UCSD dormrooms called for institutional residence integrated watershed, capable of recycling roughly 30,000-40,000 gallons a day. Hyphae accordingly designed a system in which recycled water is used for greenroof and landscape irrigation. In this region of southern California, where water is a preciously rare resource, such savings are significant.
